When I think of what motivates me, I think negative feelings can be a catalyst to make some positive changes. But it only seems to work short term and isn’t really sustainable. Sometimes I want to get back in shape because my clothes start to feel too tight and I feel ashamed of myself. I view health and fitness as part of my identity and I get disappointed in myself when I’m not living the way I know I should. And I beat myself up for getting off track.
